Dear Friends, As you may have heard, I have been serving time in a low security Federal Prison in Bastrop TX right outside of Austin since February 2010. Therefore, I will unfortunately be out of circulation through 2014. There are many rumors about the circumstances that brought this about and I would be very willing to share the details about what happened with you if you have questions for me. I plan to eventually post more about that on this page. Since my incarceration, I have been sharing my experiences in a bi-weekly letter which is sent out to a number of friends in the community. If you are interested in reading my letters and are not yet on the list, you can access them via the links on this page. If you would like to be added to the e-mail list to receive my letters directly, please e-mail my friend . Lauren is also willing to forward your e-mails to me if you send them to her. I would love to hear from you so if you are interested, please feel free to send me a note through her. For those of you who are not adverse to paper and pen, you can also write to me directly (Please address letters to William Borgida #43834-039) at the address below. I can receive photos, postcards, greeting cards, magazine and newspaper clippings (as long as they aren't overly large), paperback books (only hardcover need to be sent from a book seller) at the following address. I cannot receive CDs or DVDs. I really enjoy getting visits from friends. If you are in the Austin area (or are planning to be in Austin at any point), please come and visit me. You will need to download a visitor application from the Bastrop FCI website: http://www.bop.gov/locations/institutions/bas/BAS_visit_hours.pdf PLEASE NOTE: The address listed on the Bastrop website to which applications need to be submitted is wrong! Please send your completed visitation application to: Bastrop FCI Also, to help speed the process, please mark the envelope, I cherish the support of the community. It helps to keep me going. I miss you all and very much welcome the opportunity to stay in touch. Bill |
